Every relationship that a child makes in their lives is based on the values that were imparted to them at the initial stages of their lives. Positive values opens-up the gateway of positivity, honesty, and empathy towards others. However, the negative values restrict further growth, ruin relationships, and it makes
things tough and complex for an individual.
Therefore, it is important that a caregiver inculcates positive values in a child which would help him grow higher in his career. At Infant Jesus School, Ambernath, we teach children about the importance of positive values in individual life and we urge the parents and the caregivers to deliver the same message at their home.
To inculcate the positive values in a child parents/caregivers can:
Model good values by giving good examples.
Apologize to your children if you commit a mistake.
Ask your children to apologize if they commit a mistake.
Share personal experiences.
Involve them in helping and encouraging others.
Applaud for their good behaviours.
One can talk to their child and tell them if their conduct is right or wrong, moral or immoral; teach them to make moral decisions. Caregivers can give examples that nothing is masked; God sees everything, we all are his creatures and it is our responsibility to do good things that are profitable for humanity. The parents/caregivers can spend their time with their children wisely; they can teach them good values, make them a better person who is responsible, loving, and caring.
Infant Jesus School recognizes the need to have the right values among children. To inculcate the positive values among our children we teach them the importance of respect, kindness, self-discipline, compassion, generosity, and perseverance towards others. This acts as a foundation for them to become tomorrow’s better citizens. It allows them to perform and accomplish the assigned task with full diligence and responsibility. As a result, it will shape a positive, prosperous future for our coming future.
Deepa Edwin, Director of the Infant Jesus School, Ambernath, says, “Values are like a small lamp in the big dark forest that does not show everything once, but, gives you enough light to take the next step.” She also adds that “the positive values lead us to the successful path of happiness and goodness.”
The steps towards morality will give our society responsible, honest, faithful, loving, trustworthy, and good citizens of the generation. There would be no fight and brotherhood will spread all over. Everyone will live peacefully without any quarrels. This would have a greater impact on the world. That day would be the day we will fulfil our dreams and make this society a positive and a better place to learn, live, and grow with goodness and kindness around.
